Community Risk Reduction

The duties and responsibilities of the Community Risk Reduction Division include:

  • Annual Fire Safety Inspections of all commercial properties within the Frederick Firestone Fire Protection District. 
  • Issuing of Fire Permits for new construction
  • Maintaining and updating the database for tracking all inspections and fire permits
  • Reviewing current Fire Codes for changes and updates
  • Working directly with the Town Administration on Fire Code related issues
  • Fire investigations
  • Public Education
  • Elementary School Fire Prevention Programs
  • Community Services Programs

    • Fire safety classes
    • First aid
    • Home safety inspections
    • Station tours
  • Overseeing the work with the Youth Firesetter Program
