On Monday, May 13, 2019, the Frederick Firestone Fire Protection District recognized four new members and promoted two members during its Promotional and Recognition Ceremony at the Fire District’s Business & Education Center.

The District welcomed new members Carbon Valley Emergency Management Coordinator Merrie Leach Garner, Paramedic/Firefighter Nathan Brown, Paramedic/Firefighter Brian Vernetti, and Reserve EMT/Firefighter Landin Willis. Members who promoted were EMT/Firefighter Eli Vincent who took a full-time position with the District and EMT/Firefighter Patrick Hemken who moved from an auxiliary position in public education to a reserve in operations.

“We are all in this crazy mixed up world together…. And as a family, there is nothing this organization can accomplish, as one team driven by service and one family entrenched in service to each other,” said Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District Fire Chief Jeremy Young. “Remember, when we serve one another well daily, serving our community will become second nature in everything we do. We simply lead together, by serving together.”
