The Fire District has received word that a few individuals under the age of 18 may have received a Fire District ballot for the May 3 election. According to the District’s Designated Election Official, these individuals are not eligible to vote in the election, even though they received a ballot. Registered and preregistered voter names and address are pulled from Weld County. All submitted ballots are cross referenced by Election Judges to ensure the individual submitting the ballot is of legal age, a registered voter, and resides or owns property within the Fire District. We apologize for any confusion and any further questions should be directed to the Fire District’s Designated Election Official – Kammy Tinney with Pinnacol Consulting Group, Inc. at 970-669-3611.
The District would also like to note that because this is a Title 32 Special District Election, all registered voters will be receiving a separate ballot from the Frederick-Firestone Fire District and the Carbon Valley Recreation District. This is an uncoordinated election, meaning the election is not run by the County or State and therefore requires two (2) separate ballots. Please address all election questions to the Fire District’s Designated Election Official – Kammy Tinney with Pinnacol Consulting Group, Inc. at 970-669-3611.
