Frederick-Firestone Fire District's mission to its community has always and will always include preventing harm and protecting property and we do that with compassion and integrity. That is why providing our community with fire and life safety education to prevent these threats from happening is so important to us. Our firefighters can only do so much when it comes to protecting our community from the threat of a major disaster like a large grassfire. Some major disasters we just can't control. But we as a community can take action to prepare for wildfire season and to keep our community safe. But it's not a one-time effort. Attached is a letter to our community asking that they pay special attention to their homes and surrounding areas as the fall seasons begins to dry out our surrounding areas. Preventable action is needed more than ever. Review the attached check list to assure your home is ready to face wildfire season.
